The race course will officially close 4 hours after the race start. Due to the possibility of bad weather and the fact that volunteers are outside on the course, walkers are highly discouraged.

Start: Vineyard Haven Steamship Terminal

Finish: Oak Bluffs School
Busses are available for the return trip to the start and will transport equipment and guests to the finish area.

Course Info: The course was measured by bicycle calibration and is sanctioned by the USATF. Miles are clearly marked and accurately placed. The race starts at the ferry terminal landing in Vineyard Haven and ends at the Oak Bluffs School. For a course map click the link below. The course is mostly flat with a few hills around mile 2-3, some small hills in the state forest section and the last 3 miles. If you are from hill country you will never notice!

Please use bike paths and sidewalks when available, as the roads will be open to traffic. People are generally patient, but there is always someone in a hurry. Be careful.

Aid stations will be provided every 2 miles or so with water and first aid kits. Gatorade will be at some of the later stops. If you require more fuel or gel, please carry a water belt. Volunteer EMT will be at the finish. If you need to drop out, please try to do so at an aid station where there will be a warm vehicle for you. A sag vehicle will be sweeping the course. For your safety the course will close at 3:00 p.m. If you are unable to finish in that time you will be asked to accept a ride to the finish. Your cooperation is appreciated.

Entry Fee: $40.00
Repeat participants may deduct $1.00 for every year they have previously run this race. Race directors may deduct $10.00 in place of repeat participation discounts. No discounts on entries received after February 1st. Entry fee includes our infamous, top quality t-shirt, an unbelievable feast at the finish and a great race.
